夏威夷中信踏入第十年的旅程，上帝給我們一個驚喜。一對夫婦從加拿大到夏威夷旅遊，本是一件尋常的事，但他們卻為中信帶來喜出望外的祝福。
在旅程中，他們每天就幹旅客愛幹的事，到各名勝觀光，到海邊漫步，到華埠吃點心等等。當他們經過中信的時候，覺得很好奇，便進來與中信的工作人員聊起來，發覺在華埠傳揚上帝愛世人的工作極有意思，卻未有足夠的福音使者。在回加國之後，中信及夏威夷的華人一直繫在他們的心中。經過多月的禱告，他們決定離開舒適的環境及至愛的親人，成為中信的宣教士，到夏威夷尋找和關心未聽聞基督的人。
他們是劉彥俊 (Harry) 和劉李維貞(Virginia) 。一月底才到埠，上帝在幾天之內為他們預備了枕頭的地方、坐駕和一切所需用的東西。在目睹上帝祝福宣教士之同時，我們也領略上帝對中信的眷顧。盼望這對新力軍的加入成為更多華人的祝福。
另外，我們的網頁以新姿態迎接新年，在首頁便能一覽最新活動，並在不斷改進；愛玩「面書」(Facebook) 的朋友也可以與我們更緊密地聯繫，交流意見和分享信仰經歷。盼望透過網絡媒體和科技，開拓新領域，福音更廣傳。

在剛剛過去的十二月，中信嘗試用一個新的形式傳揚耶穌降世的佳音。我們在正午時份，邀請了檀島華人聖樂團的代表和朝氣洋溢的基督徒樂隊Alive參與聖誕同樂日，用悠揚喜樂的樂韻向文化廣場的會眾和街坊宣揚耶穌誕生的消息。
音樂會結束之後，我們頒獎與環保飾物裝飾比賽的得獎者，小孩子的創意和藝術天分在他們的作品上表現得淋漓盡致。
在廣場中庭的位置，各華人教會和中信備設遊戲攤位，旨在延續歡樂的氣氛。有一個小孩子，大約三歲左右，頭髮梳得蠻醒目的，在遊戲攤位開始之前，他害羞地躲在石柱後觀看我們泵氣球，我便逗他說話，我問他道：「小朋友，你知道聖誕節是慶祝誰的誕生嗎？」他輕輕地搖頭，我便把耶穌基督降世的聖誕故事告訴他，最後我又問他：「我剛才説聖誕節是慶祝誰的誕生呢？」他又再搖頭，我便重複故事多遍，並教他説「耶穌」的名字，但他不肯跟我説。
音樂會完了，攤位遊戲時間也完了，這小孩子玩得不亦樂乎，我向他揮手道別，也不厭其煩地問他第十次同一個問題：「我們為誰慶祝聖誕呢？」他回答説：「耶穌！」他終於明白了！我替他開心，仿佛我們那一天的工作就是為了這孩子。
有人衡量節目的成功與否在於參與的人數，誰曉得神的計劃可能是藉著一個節目來尋找一小撮失喪的羊群。
踏入二零一零年，中信會繼續宣揚福音的工作，期望不斷改善活動，吸引街坊參與，更期望福音的大能使參加者的生命變得更豐盛，在這新年，中信恭祝各位新年快樂、平安、豐盛！

林修榮專欄
林修榮出生在香港，七零年代初期來美半工讀留學，獲加州大學貝克萊分校商科碩士學位，此後二十一年在美國與香港參予銀行、金融、電訊管理工作，曾任香港訊聯電信電話公司總裁，與美國聯合銀行總裁及董事局主席。在四十五歲時蒙主帶領離開商業社會，將全部時間以義務輔導理財為工具，去關懷和幫助北美的華人認識理財之道，並認識宇宙萬物的造物主。
林修榮被邀為「世界日報」與「星島日報」財務專欄作者，其「理財極短篇」自2004年開始每星期一刊載在「世界日報」財經版，其「理財有道」專欄自零七年十一月起每週出現在「星島日報」；他經常被邀請作公開演講，「理財分半鐘」節目每週日在美國五大城市華語電台廣播，並每週主持三個現場電台節目，為三藩市、洛杉機和紐約地區聽眾即時解答財務問題；亦透過電子郵件為全美國華人解答問題，及每週在北加州「角聲中心」親自會見有財務需要的家庭。
林修榮現任柏克萊華人浸信會執事，角聲佈道團策劃委員，基督工人神學院及中國信徒佈道會董事，其著作「人間有情」在零六年九月出版。

癌症是常見也是最難治癒的疾病之一，不僅病人及家人深受其苦，連普通人也談癌色變。身體的疼痛和不適，容顏的改變，情緒的衝擊，經濟的問題，等等；癌症的到來，會使一個幸福的家庭失去往日的平靜和溫馨。
面對癌症，除了用一般的治療方法外，基督徒更會用禱告去尋求上帝的醫治。我們都懂得神醫治的大能，在聖經中多處有所記載，在今天我們也聽聞不少珍貴的見證。夏威夷華人宣道會的王王綺梅姊妹曾多次在中信福音中心作見證，告訴群眾神醫治她的癌症的經歷，這只是其中一個例子。可是，對於未聽聞耶穌基督的人，他們又怎樣懂得向上帝祈求呢？身患重病，求醫無門，不但是病患者的煩惱，更是病患者家人的重擔，他們需要耶穌，只有基督能拯救他們脫離心靈的重壓。
有見及此，中信福音中心組織了一個癌友互助會 —— 一個免費向癌症患者，家屬及社區提供連續性的相互支持及關懷的組織。希望能藉此來將基督的愛傳給華人癌症患者及其家人。“勉勵灰心的人，扶助軟弱的人”（帖前五：14）是互助會的勉勵經文。小組成員全是基督徒，其中更有經歷過癌症的人士，我們祈求神使用這個互助會，把上帝的大愛傳給未聞福音的人，讓上帝的愛作為最美好的醫治，讓在困苦中的人能得到心靈上最大的安慰。

吳宣倫博士2008見証講座

吳宣倫博士簡介：吳宣倫博士為前中信主席，曾修讀進化論，生物化學，醫學，電子工程，及導彈科學。早期在德州儀器公司 (Texas Instruments) 參與空對空導彈設計，及全球第一部電子計算器。其後期定居北加州矽谷，在惠普公司 (Hewlett Packard) 任職高級研究員 二十三年之久，同時在加州柏克萊大學 (The University of California, Berkeley) 作客席教授，講授「微型處理器設計」科目， 曾兩度被選為最佳講師。在香港大學亦曾任客席講師，講授「人工智能 (Artificial Intelligence)」。吳博士對任何科學均有濃厚興趣，近十年來對上帝奇妙的話語及創造特感興趣，故下苦功研究聖經，從而發現科學與信仰非但毫無衝突，且是相輔相行。
